Circle of Stars
Project Dawn McConnell | Photography Tara Chattell
A holiday star wreath with mixed metals you can make in minutes.
MATERIALS
18-gauge galvanized wire
Glitter paper or glitter foam (we used gold, silver and white)
Glue gun or bottled glue
Length of ribbon or twine, for hanging
TOOLS
Wire cutters
Scissors
HOW-TO
Determine the size of the wreath by forming a circle with the wire. Continue to wind the wire, forming between seven and nine circles in various diameters. Leave a tail of wire about two inches long.
Holding the bundle in one hand, wrap the tail around the wire circles several times.
Cut pairs of stars from glitter paper or foam in a variety of sizes for the front and back of the wreath.
Grab a pair of stars and apply glue to one side of each star. Pick a strand of wire, line up stars on each side, then sandwich the wire between the two stars. Repeat, adding stars at random throughout the strands until you love your design. OH
