These charming, easy-to-make and easy-to-clean bird feeders will attract a discerning flock to your garden.

Materials 

Teacup and Saucer
Spoon or Ribbon
Pliers
All-Purpose Adhesive (we used Goop Glue)
Birdseed


Directions

  1. Apply a thick line of all-purpose adhesive from the centre of the saucer to one edge.  

  2. Holding the teacup with handle upward, press the opposite side of the cup down into the adhesive in the saucer. 

  3. Hold or support the teacup until the adhesive sets.

  4. To use a spoon as a hook, bend the spoon with pliers into an S shape. 

  5. Use the spoon hook to hang the teacup from an easy-to-access branch of your favourite tree. You can also hang the feeder with a ribbon. Fill with birdseed.

Second-hand stores are a great source to find vintage spoons to make these charming hooks.  OH
